So i played few matches but here are my first impressions.
What i like:
-ranged damage has been toned down
-Mages have a higher AP cost / deal less damage
- overall harder to oneshot
- in general i like the new talent tree altough there are still some improvements i think.
- army AP cap
- Customization (trollish pink <3)
- 1 more company slot
- elite units are finally strong
- "new" stances
what i don't like:
- training maps where your enemies do not use ANY skill they have and you have a priest of saluel engaging you in melee (this is sad)
- playing with a friend is super abusable to get fast ducats AND also bad because you can't select what you are going to bring to the battle...
- barracks: i totally miss the point of adding them...who would need a new unit every 24 h ? any dev who could explain?
- all the quests should be grouped in some fancy sub-menus, it is really confusing when they all have more or less the same icon. I also think the cost to start a quest is way too high for what it gives. I miss a bit the old system...
- i dont like not being able to select/deselect the units i would like to queue with...especially when i would like to play with a friend or check part of their AP.
- starting warbands aren't all very appealing , especially the lion ones with the sparkling and NO mage to use it on or the wolven one with 2 units (yay fights with 2 units are so tactical!)
- too many formats...why adding 4 especially at this stage that finding a match is already tough? it also brings back the feeling that people queue their 2 amazing units and play at 200 AP and you are forced to do so. three would have been better...and really 200 AP should be banned as it simply doesn't show the game potential.
- it feels there are more critics flying around...did you change the formula or i was just lucky/unlucky?
- getting injuries when playing vs a friend.
-EDIT: why oh why the lonewolf still has recovery on his tree? why would he need 4 mana a turn when everything costs 3 maximum? Give us something cooler :>
