0.11 first impressions

So i played few matches but here are my first impressions.

What i like:

-ranged damage has been toned down
-Mages have a higher AP cost / deal less damage
- overall harder to oneshot
- in general i like the new talent tree altough there are still some improvements i think.
- army AP cap
- Customization (trollish pink <3)
- 1 more company slot
- elite units are finally strong
- "new" stances

what i don't like:

- training maps where your enemies do not use ANY skill they have and you have a priest of saluel engaging you in melee (this is sad)
- playing with a friend is super abusable to get fast ducats AND also bad because you can't select what you are going to bring to the battle...
- barracks: i totally miss the point of adding them...who would need a new unit every 24 h ? any dev who could explain?
- all the quests should be grouped in some fancy sub-menus, it is really confusing when they all have more or less the same icon. I also think the cost to start a quest is way too high for what it gives. I miss a bit the old system...
- i dont like not being able to select/deselect the units i would like to queue with...especially when i would like to play with a friend or check part of their AP.
- starting warbands aren't all very appealing , especially the lion ones with the sparkling and NO mage to use it on or the wolven one with 2 units (yay fights with 2 units are so tactical!)
- too many formats...why adding 4 especially at this stage that finding a match is already tough? it also brings back the feeling that people queue their 2 amazing units and play at 200 AP and you are forced to do so. three would have been better...and really 200 AP should be banned as it simply doesn't show the game potential.
- it feels there are more critics flying around...did you change the formula or i was just lucky/unlucky?
- getting injuries when playing vs a friend.
-EDIT: why oh why the lonewolf still has recovery on his tree? why would he need 4 mana a turn when everything costs 3 maximum? Give us something cooler :>

I have one mission that give 1 item ... deep blue and draconnor no :lol:

ok sorry ...

but why ?

What i like:

- Most of new tress looks more rational (choose is not obvious)
- new training missions (they may be not great - but they are)
- paints
- great sparkling
- fixed Feriocious
- stances working from activation to activation (not counting the bug ;/)
- partialy fixed war lion, gargoyle, crane, knight
- skeleton warriors are deadly
- Grave Guardian cost more

what i don't like:
- New prices (Paint Baracks, even units)
- getting 3 wounds on one training... twice a row
- mages was both cut by frequency of main spell (it was good) and cost - with is not good while most units get cheaper.
- Nerf of the Swordsman? Seriously? lower TOU and STR than skeleton warrios for 24?
- Wolfen crossbowmans are no longer crossbowmans with current stats - they are common archers - it wasn't their STR that was making them OP but mobility.
- more bugs
- no new maps
- New Bugs (stances/ skills)
- wolfen fangs for 50 points?
- skills still cost the same price for different units - as i said before hard boiled on skeleton =/= HB on Predator and Mighty Blow on Swordsman =/= MB on Fang
- Priest Inversion unchanged
- New Golem is far to strong
- Random missions - interesting idea but all of mine are about loosing ducats ... pay 50 and have 70% of getting 70? or 50% for getting 150d and 50% for dead unit ? pay 360 and wait 7 days for 700?

Just to add my opinion of the new update.

Overall seems like an improvement; really like the new training games; gave one of the difficult missions a go (1500 AP of Ram), at the moment can field about 900AP at most so got beat in about 3 turns - Golem was really tough and starts very close - fair enough lives up to it's name of 'difficult'. Was nice to see everything you have in play though.

New paint options are really nice and a very nice nod to the tabletop game with the names and paints - tried it out and now have a green Predator of Blood and seems good ;) - although the cost of some of the colours seems excessive, especially considering they are one use.

To echo Deep Blue, the AI in the training does some silly stuff, casters trying to melee for instance and units not using orders (at least I haven't seen them use them in the games I played).

Cost in Ducats for some of the missions seems off, from what I can tell the first mission for instance is 50D for a 70D reward?

you have full log of players injuries ?

check my training missions (steam id Draconnor) Vs hard wolfens - and say it its possible to get so many wounds on training mission ;P

i didn't specify it very well, my bad. This was reported to me by Skydancer when we had one friendly match. Name of the company was The Crimson Vanguard vs Nec Spec Nec Metu ;) it happened the first day of the patch obviously as we were testing the starting units so im fairly sure he didn't have any unseen injury

Just retrieved your games since the patch, and Skydancer didn't get any injury in your challenges, nor against another player. In fact, you're the only 2 playing challenge friends, thx for testing. :)

I've found 2 "Nec Spec Nec Metu" named company, one of them is deleted, and all the units in these companies are without injury, and didn't get any injury in games they played until now.
I've found 2 "The Crimson Vanguard" which are in the same state (deleted, all units clean; one of them even didn't play any games^^)

If Skydancer come here, please give more information, so we can investigate on that unwanted behavior.

- challenge friend games (launched through friendlist) should not give your units any injuries. You're not supposed to get any injuries in post-match screen, due to that game.
- solo games (actual trainings), can give you injuries if your unit dies (same rules as multi player games, with reduced chances)

but for gods sake if i have 1-3 (his time 1) wounds after each hard TRAINING and the reward is 150d ...
there is something wrong in that :P

After some investigations, it seems like wounds were always active without any modifiers, so I guess it's an old bug that nobody spotted until now because of the difficulty.
We will look into that.
