the TOU gives stability also to your opponent plans, not only yours. With my wolven i can plan all my pursuit movements vs ram as i generally always hit them. I think the swordsmen are good options also for a mage-centric build or for a more melee based build if you give them taunt (i think a build based around units taunting everything will be an interesting experiment).

Other than that basic units should have the same limit as the other unit types (3) this would stop all zergs.

excluding basic footmans imo - that should be balanced and balanced until goes into Zen status ;)

edit
but there should be limit build for 250/400 brackets and not in company management ;)

I like to think that my plans are better than enemy plans ;)

Maybe you always Hit Ram units - but they can handle that... its still better than Swordsmans 20% to parry and 80% to die quicker than skeleton ;p
When i play with War Lions or Gargoyles i really can't rely on thein Parry if i want to have Win ratio better than 50:50 :P
But both are solid offensive units... while Swordsmans are defenders only - that i can't rely on :P

Ok i meet Lions without archers or Chimera...
http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/331 ... B2B093653/
i'll put 'screen story' when i upload the screenshots...

but this game was great for showing my point about current meta being forced by 2-3 units in each factions.

Edit

Ok second turn and War Lion is no more... even if after lucky win of discipline i passed - enemy still hat to choose between activation of lion or knight with hope of rescuing his only bowman...
http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/331 ... B7886FBE7/

after that is was so easy...
http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/331 ... 162A120B6/
http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/331 ... 3AB215D25/
overall with quite moderate rolls on each side - Skeletons had similar or better Parry count to swordsmans

and for the Knight... http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/331 ... F3FA41390/
for its price he can be encircled and Obliterated without killing even one unit (35% to hit skelly on critical wound)...
overall i lost 1 skelly and 1 gargoyle.

first i think you should hide the other player's name...i think it is considered "shaming" in a way (yeah i know you are not flaming him or anything but you might generate a flame war or something).

other than that....i think two knights aren't that good as in general having 2x elites isn't recommended or else you will probably be outnumbered and surrounded while instead the knights shine when they can be supported (taunt/regen) and have some encirclement bonus. It is pretty much like why 2 PoB suck so much...as you are forced to have a team of 4 wolven max...meaning that they will get encircled to the point they become ridicolous.

but this Player was normal guy that wanted to play HtH lions...and it was his only big mistake ;)
Imo there is no player that would win this fight with Lions hth composition :P

ther than that....i think two knights aren't that good

there was only one Knight out there :P

oh yeah sorry i got tricked by the first screenshot and it looked like the knight was standing next to another knight :D I really think melee lion company can be viable...the only issue is that archers are so good to pass :D

so why they was Obliterated without bigger mistakes and even with my pass after winning discipline? :P

i think you are asking the wrong player :-)

from my experience i saw this warband with 3x lions of war + 1x sparkling + 4-5x swordsmen + 1x archer. which i think is quite annoying to deal with and plays offensively (for the records it belongs to one of the top lion players which has 80% or so win ratio).
