[Solved] Game Freezing After New Patch

I just downloaded the new patch through Steam and now every time I start the game, it freezes my whole computer on the initial splash screen (where their is a box in the middle of the screen, but you can see the desktop behind it). I have started the game from the desktop icon, the Steam Library icon and the Steam Store icon. Every way it is the same, the game freezes my computer and I have to pull the plug to restart the whole computer.

So, I sat there with the game frozen for about 15 minutes and then it started working.

Sorry for the false alarm, just never had a game freeze up my whole computer for that long only to come back.
