at some point i guess i wonder if they will be available for free or only through cyans/ducats. My wild guess is that the next faction will be mid nor as they have already the 3d models.

From everything the developers have said. It sounds like the new faction aren't close to being put out. They talk about them as something in the future, once they have all the bugs and balances taken care of.

So I wouldn't hold my breath.

It will always stay F2P

Expect it to always be free to play. That would be a hard thing to switch.

On a side note. I love the free to play model. It allows you to pay where you want and try for free. F2P games also by their nature offer more content and a continual growth of content. If this game wasn't free to play, there'd be a base level of armies you got when you paid for the game and then that was it (unless they released an expansion pack). With F2P, the armies will just keep growing and growing with no end in sight (as long as they are making their money).

Also, I really have no idea when the new armies are going to be released, it's just not something they have dropped hints about being on the foreseeable horizon (i.e. next patch), but I could be wrong.

Jigoku dropped a hint that the new patch will bring new content i wouldn't hold my breath either but who knows...

You think there's a chance of armies getting new units? It seems like they would want to add an equal amount to each one, so that would be at least 3 new units. Just a thought.

And maybe we are closer to new armies than I thought (fingers crossed for Tir-Na-Bor).

i think we will have first new races than new units I really hope they would create a test server one day just to avoid that the new race is OP/underpowered and all the general whine
