New Armies?

PostWed Feb 26, 2014 5:40 am

Hey guys, old confrontation player here. Big fan of Mid Nor, Tir Na Bor, Cynwall and the Drune. I see that none of these are amongst the starting armies.

1. Any news on when are they planning to include some of these?

2. Any news on when the beta closes and the actual game plans to come out?

no and no. The devs stated they give as a priority to fix certain balance aspects before releasing new content. They also stated that they are already working on new armies but it is not top priority at the moment. other than that (just my speculation) i think Mid-nor will be the next army as they have already the 3d models ready.

i think Mid-nor will be the next army as they have already the 3d models ready.

they have models for:

Grifin, Alchemist, Orcs and Mid-Nor ;)
remember that Cyanide made two not only one confrontation game (3d - not counting facebook card game) before ;)
ign: Draconnor, Cynwall player, 23 years in computer games, 14 years in battle games, 8 years in Confrontation Universe, 4 years of making own battle games.

if you refer to confrontation game you will notice it used a very different graphic. For instance the wolven models there are not even used in DoW.

you sure?
I played it some time ago... but i was convinced that we have Wolfens in first 3 factions becouse of that game ;)

This was quite optimistic considering the fact of both Alchemist and Griffin are nice factions to add now.

But it the models are useless lets switch Orcs for Goblins ;)
and Grifin (or Dwarves) for Cynwalls ;]

I have to admit that I am also really looking forward to seeing the new armies.
The available armies do not really fit me, I can't wait for the Dirzs which were my secondary army.
My main was Ophidian snakes, so I hope they'll make the cut someday, but that is not going to happen any time soon

One hopefully thing about us getting a lot of Armies is looking at Blood Bowl (another game they made). In that game, they have every team from the table top game and some more. So at least they have a history of putting out lots of factions into their games.
