What were the AP of these matches?
The few times I ran into a legendary unit in the 400s tier, my "incarnation of justice" valkyrie gave my archer harassment damage to the thing while it got into range, resulting in about 15-20 damage. Then, when it got in melee range, the valkyrie used her incarnation of justice ability and took out another 30 hp in one turn, bringing it down to easy management range. In both those games, the legendary unit was literally the first model to fall.
Now, I don't know how much I would've hated my life if I didn't have that ability... but I took the ability as a reliable way to take care of elite units anyway, so that doesn't make that big of a difference.
