I may be a newbie, but there's one common denominator to my defeats: Predator of Blood.
Now let's see why:
"Firepower":
- Great Accuracy, great damage, two attacks
"Defence":
- Great dodge, average parry, average toughness, Hard boiled (-3 damage received), fear, weak willpower
- Great mobility.
That thing is a bulldozer. Its average parry and toughness are well compensated by "Hard boiled" it has by default, and its ability to deal damage is great.
It has no weaknesses.
You can't lock it in combat: it has a huge dodge value and its level 2 ability allows it to not care. Even without taking it, if it takes the level 2 "stun", it can stun the whole enemy line by walking through, without taking damage (or only in unlucky rolls.
You can't stop it from approaching: The mobility, Dodge and Hard Boiled make it hard to weaken with ranged weapons and spells.
You can't block it in Melee: Its accuracy doesn't care about most parry, even in Defensive Stance, its level 4 gives it 16 damage, and when you attack it its counter-attack is harder hitting than whatever damage you deal to it.
The only thing that kind of works against it is spells, but you don't always have good ones. And damage-dealing spells are also reduced by hard boiled.
What I would suggest... Would simply be to change "Hard boiled" with something else more "offense" oriented, like increased damage on weakened enemies, something... But Hard Boiled really reduced the effective punishment it is supposed to take in compensation of its "firepower". Making it more of a glass cannon.
