No one said this. No one implied this. This is a fallacy.

The price of Cyan's have nothing to do with it.

I'm already concerned about the microtransaction aspect of this game. Being able to buy leveled units with real money seems bad.

As long as you can have any unit in the game at any level for ingame Ducats - its good.
Bying certan units only for Cyans would be wrong - but as long as they can be bought for ingame Ducats - its ok

This is an argument I never agreed with.
Just because you can grind out in-game currency and eventually get the same things, does not mean it's fair, or even ethical for that matter.
It is only fair if the in-game currency stays at a constant value relative to the cash currency.

I invite you to explain, if not for pure greed, why would they devalue your in-game currency as you progress in the game?

Ducats are your monetized reward for playing.
Time + Risk + Difficulty = Reward

What DoW is doing right now is refusing more and more of your reward as you progress to influence a need for cash investment.

My argument is that the above formula should be constant. When you play, you should get a reward that is relative to those elements. You shouldn't be punished because you didn't "spend enough money."

Btw in this game cyans aren't pay to win but it's like i don't have much time to do 8k ducats for 1 color i spend tot ... can i play 1/2 match at day ? and have some unit dead and no have some ducats ? ok i spend tot in cyans and recruit new unit .

there are not item that if anyone don't have can't win or similar .

the formula is similar to LoL i mean cosmetic , boost etc etc and work very beautiful imo

PS : i play LoL and i have spent some money to skin , gift in christamas time etc etc and

if only to reward those who have developed a game like this in a universe that I love and I played for years at the table game, definitely I will spend the money for anything, even for a game so I could very well be a game b2p

I didn't say this was pay to win.

I said it was an unethical business model.

DoW devalues your in-game currency as you progress in the game.
Why?

To make the late-game less enjoyable (IE longer grinds) so you will spend more money.

There are better, more ethical, and more profitable ways to cash in on their game. They don't have to bully their players into spending money.

That doesn't mean the community shouldn't give Cyanide feedback on what we can see of the format.

I've been interested in this game ever since Steam started carrying it.
It's got some cool ideas, some great art, and amazing potential.

I would like to see the game succeed.
Furthermore, when the time comes, I would like to express my appreciation of the game with my money.

But if the game launches with its current model, I will not be the only one not willing to pay into the scheme.

This model has been used by many games in the past and has been proven faulty.
It may generate a quick influx of profit, but the game will have no longevity.

lets compare amount of accounts asking for beta acces and those who give support

and now you really believe that giving everything for easy to get and free ducats they will support the company?

and unfortunately most customers... lets say that these days best selling games are definitely far from being best :P

There may be a language barrier here, but I don't understand what you are saying.
And I can only assume you are not reading/understanding what I've said.

as i said...before this patch buying units and getting ducats was easier. Maybe too easy i would say but now it is the opposite. Level one units cost TOO MUCH (beside the legendary) and should have a lower renown level requirement (at lvl 5 you unlocked all) so that the whole units are accessible to everyone fast enough. The beauty of the game is try new units and warbands compositions...and this can be easily obtained by making level 1 units easier to obtain for everyone.

Quests should be re-designed also in my opinion...the cost is half of the quest reward usually...and this is a bit too harsh considering also the risk of getting an injury. I didn't mind the previous system with only 3 quests. If you think the ducats were too many just reduce them a little.

ps: i like the quest where you can "sell" your unit. :-)
