RAM feedback

PostThu Dec 19, 2013 12:10 am

Ok my personal opinion for this army

Skeleton Warrior : it's ok , but should cost 1/2 ap less

Skeleton Archer : ok

Necromancer : ok ( but it's frustranting cast "respite of dead" without mastery of arcana )

Paladin : ok

Crane Warrior : ok , but has little defense if we compare it to the equivalent of the lion that in certanly situation it's immortal

Priest of Saluel : atm it's completly useless , no resistence , no dmg , but the big problem is iconoclast , no have sense ... is not a unit that should go in scuffle , but is a support unit , and if we compare to valkirye that have a bless and a heal + regeneration ...

gargoyle : hmm ... why not skeleton centaur ?

all imo

I agree on priest of saluel but just partially. Some part of his tree need rework but i suggest you to try it at lvl 5 with spiritual aggression. With 6 points of faith it can oneshot every non-legendary unit. The iconoclast can be annoying but if you take the piety talent and have a loyal paladin it is not that annoying. skeletons with martyr help as well. A nice trick is charging in, using spiritual aggression then transfer with one of your units (for example the crane) so you get back to cover and the crane can move much father away (which is always nice). Additionally works on enemy units...nothing better than exchanging position with the VIP and put him in the middle of your army :) The priest can be very strong but also very difficult to pilot. If people would use 600 AP+ lists 1 priest would be a MUST since more units = more faith = more oneshots in my opinion. Versus lower AP army it is indeed not effective.

Thanks for your feedback.

Just a quick note on our side : the Priest is one of the most powerful units in the game in our opinion, though we expect that only the more experienced players will use it to its full potential - he is definitively a "team player", and needs a Company build that is focused on its strengths and weaknesses.

Deep Blue offered some nice leads on how to use him correctly, but we still think he has some more hidden tricks that you could discover if you wanted to.
The Priest suits a very special playstyle though, so we do totally understand players that do not linger over it :)

i do believe the developers when they say the priest is quite powerful. Sadly especially at low AP the experience can be terrible. To me i would just like to change slightly unavoidable destiny...for sure the tooltip must be correct (i just discoverd it deals 5 damage at every parry/dod/spell failure!) and i'm not sure if it is still worth it. Maybe the +3 damage talent might be a good combo if you raise the damage to 7 points (in that way piety and enlightment become a serious choice!).

i also add that aura of the crepuscular princes look also a bit underpowered at least compared to the other choices. It will never be chosen as a paladin 2nd skill (occult erosion is just too good to pass) and probably also never by a priest. It is quite nice if you have lot of morbid puppets but i feel that a malus to DOD would make it much more viable. Maybe a -2 PAR -2 DOD (instead of just -3 PAR) would be cool and i would consider taking it.
