Learning the History

PostSat Dec 14, 2013 1:14 pm

Hi ever one. I'm Overlordofnobodies and I'm new here.

I find out about this game when I was looking on steam for a new free to play game. I really like what I saw as it remind me of the tabletop games I use to play. So I look up the main site and the wiki and started reading more about it.

I love what I find and will love to now if anyone have more sites or pages where I can find more about the world this game is sit in.

Please and thank you.I cant wait for this game to become open beta next month.

I dunno about the miniatures but the games are EPIC, so if they continue to make game in the same universe will be sick.

the french company who created confrontation went bankrupt... what i always thought is that confrontation had better miniatures than warhammer / 40k (at least at that time) . The amount of effort they put to create a very unique design and style was remarkable. Also the idea of doing skirmishes instead of massive battle was very nice + i loved the fact that by buying one miniature you also got the manual so you were ready to play. Sadly things went very bad mostly because they focused too much on design and did not care about other perspectives, like the financial one. The "coup de grace" was given by a company who bought Rackham which sole interest was to make money thus changing the game from skirmishes to massive battles. The rules were crap and old players didnt like the change so after 2 years they closed the activity. I think cyanide was very smart to take the rights :)

Currently i can say that C4(aotr) was not so bad after all. It was a different game that C2/3/3,5 but it was still better, more interesting and more tactical than for example GW games. So i played C4 after perovious editions and i ejoyed even their plactic miniatures that was not even half as great as metal ones but saved me a lot of time - becouse my painting speed is terribly awful ;)
