I think I wrote about that already in a very old thread, but there are chances that many of you didn't read it, so you deserve another go: what Deep Blue said in the first part of his answer is the exact reason why we won't change the AP of a wounded unit.
There is a lot of space in this game to maximize your AP / efficiency.
Sometimes, we even feel that there is too much space for that.
We really don't need a system that will push players to get to situations where a lvl 5 Necro with 0 ACC and 0 DAM will cost a total AP cost of 10. The end result is will not be fun at all for opponents, and the way to get there will not be fun for the player.
We did try, however, to offer some sort of counterpart to the players that were interested in stat tweaking (with some items). So we are still thinking of other ways to offer you some stuff going in this direction.
Sadly, our system seemed unpopular at the time (and most of the time, misunderstood), and it is the reason why it's in our list of things to rework. So it may not come back for a while.
