Not sure if this was referring to my case or the other poster's.

But just to be clear, I think I understand the AP matchmaking system.

My real problem came when a 300 AP fired (after a VERY long wait), and I had an army of 305 AP. It was disheartening (since I only had 4 units) that the only option was to play with one less unit, dropping my AP to 274 (or something).
Instead of the long queue allowing some variation in the AP limit, it forced me to play WAY under.
Which, effectively, wasn't a game at all.

This probably won't be a problem when more players are playing and at higher levels... but I wanted to mention it.
Matchmaking is the bane of every PvP game.
That's one thing that LoL and Smite STILL haven't figured out. Their matchmaking is dreadful.

Its how any battle game works...
No more than 300 its not 305. So if you want to play on this particular limit you must stay with one unit on lower level for example or change the concept/limit

that's exactly what the dev said: people seem to misunderstand the concept of AP matchmaking. It is your "fault" for queuing in a 300 AP bracket with a 305 AP army. What i am doing right now is taking pen and paper and plan my team ahead. I know it is not easy as a new player because you did not test a lot but it should be kept in mind.

Up to dragon warrior and deep blue ...

However, if the matchmaking can not find a match for your valuables army within 2 or 3 minutes you should be able to play with others, and when you enter the game lower or raise your AP imo

wait 15-20 min is frustrating
