I'm currently testing the Worg (offensive build) and every time I meet the Golem I'm sure that I'm minced meat! :)

As I said before, the Worg is much more sensitive to the enemy respect to the Golem, who simply charge always, passing over anything in front of him! To lvl up the poor Worg, I lost like 15-20 matches more or less consecutively, but now that it is lvl3 it is a bit more effective. IF you go down the offensive build, I think that the Worg lvl4 may be as effective as the Golem, however it will always die an horrible death when facing it! :D

Moreover, while the Golem doesn't die (you surrender if it's less than 3-6HP so that it doesn't get hurt), the poor Worg is always the target of the enemy since the beginning of the match, so when it dies (and it dies A LOT!) you'll get some very nice injuries that you have to spend every time 1.6k to heal...

When facing a Golem, the only Wolf company that can try to kill it is either with many units, a priest with Ylia's Wraith and some luck, or 4 Fangs + 3 Wolfen with Crossbow all with Ferocious: you'll lose all the other matches, but you'll have the satisfaction to kill a Golem the rare occasions you face it!

A possible solution would be to give Ferocious cheaper (e.g. 3AP) to the Wolfen base unit, anyways they usually do more damage than 6 (only against PoB, legends and KotL they do less if I remember correctly), another is to give a spell that does damage depending on the TOU of the enemy, an anti-elite/legends spell like the other factions already have (e.g. Valkyrie, Paladin...)

PS: Since both players can change their company watching the other one, it would be a mess to see the opponent army before a match! ;)

you see the issue is that valk incarnation of justice is always useful regardless of the golem. 30 damage are a lot...add a probable pursuit movement and you did 45 damage in one turn (at the cost of 20 HP probably). I dont think it is mandatory...lion archers can be very hard hitters vs the golem.

as almanro said correctly, ferocious for wolven could be changed in: "GOLEM SCOURGE" and nobody will ever notice the difference as you taking a talent only and exclusively for the golem. Spending 27 AP or more only to counter it and having almost half of your army "fixed" to have a chance vs anybody is not very good in terms of customization.

For instance i would love to see ferocious as a base ability of the PoB, it will basically never be relevant beside vs the golem and it might increase the players using it (which i guess so far is only me)

you mean always useless ? :P
becouse any seriousplayer will blok her as long she will get in range - and to say 45 you are realy optimistic ;P

i never ever saw Incarnation of Jutice in play - and especialy played against my companies.

lion archers can be very hard hitters vs the golem.

only with Accurate + Aim and not so hard even then... but Accurat+Aim archers have insane price that not exacly pays off. I play with 3 archers curretnly but only one above lev 1 and my only lev 3 (accurate + 2xshot) is mostly catch in mele in turn 1-3 on maps that we have now ;P

true but so brutal that PoB needs it Vs golem ;)

Really lol.Incarnation of justice is THE skill to turn the game in your favor,if well used.It's not easy to use for sure,but when you have a good opportunity it can be devastating.

So i got fed up by the golem and im using a lvl 2 GG with scourge living dead or else the GG deals a whopping 2 damage per turn (if both strikes hit not bad for a 123 AP unit). It can finally deal interesting damage with ylia's wrath+natural selection (16 damage if both strikes hit - better than the PoB lol). Again the fun last until it doesn't get hit back. It just need 1 lucky counterattack (not even that lucky , even if surrounded) to turn the game in the golem player favor. At this point you better have a fang with ferocious + offensive stance or some crossbowmen with it as it might have decimated the rest of your army already. Ps what is funny in this analysis is that im not even considering the golem's escort in the equation.

so far best effective way as a wolven to deal with the golem that i found:

-GG with scourge:living dead + ylia's wrath + natural selection -> 16 damage on the first turn + fang warrior with offensive dealing 18 damage (im optimistic here as they are always feared and often have 65% chance to hit even if he is surrounded). hoping that your grave guardian dodged the attack (your fang is already dead probably) , you go with offensive with the buffed GG dealing 24 damage. At this point the golem should have 2 HP wich means any wolven can kill it. Yay! we did it. You just need some stars to align, a sloppy golem's escort management (they could go directly to your GG, making you very sad) and there you go! you owned the fat bastard! easy, right?

I say this after loosing 3 games against someone using it.3 game i had in control and got rurned around in 1 turn thx to this skill.

Dont get me wrong,i dont say you can alway use it to change a game,i say it can happen and this skill is definitely not useless.

even though im not a lion player i agree with vahire. It is about valk's management. It can go reliably in offensive stance and do terrible damage vs any unit. I faced it also more than once and you have to be very careful especially if you have some elite units as it can potentially turn the battle in 1 turn.

As you once said to Lima - loosing with sommeone dont prove your opinion being right :P

But to be more serious - against most of companies - its mosly useless - especialy for its cost.
Its ok Vs Legendaries, its also acceptable Vs PoB and Grave Guardian... and only when timed correctly and they already wounded - but its all. In all other cases it does nothing more that a 95-100ap model should do without any one-turn duration spell...

But she cost close to 100ap with Incarnation - its cost of almost two lions/gargoyles/fangs or 3 acheron archers / 2 lion archers...

Incarnation of Justice is not worth the trouble vs experienced players. Yes you can take down a legendary to half health, but any experienced player knows that 2 puppets can kill her imediately after.

I would only use IoJ valk if I was sure the other player is going to use a golem. Other than that even vs worg I'll take BAM BAM (lvl5 2x celestial scourge mage) which can also put worg at 1/2hp in 1 turn but not have to get next to it to do it.

Again I think that if we get to see the other players company (all of it) it would allow us to make assumptions about what he is going to field.
