Missions income

PostSat Feb 22, 2014 1:25 am

Hi all,

anyone else noticed that at the current moment doing missions (not considering the one giving fame) is the worst possible choice?

This week I had not much free time to play and so I decided to connect to do only the missions to get some more ducats for my units:

- Starting point: 5800 ducats
- Subtract 2500 ducats for the "gain fame" mission (won once out of five with theoretically the 65% of probability to win, gained much less fame than described in the mission log)
- Subtract all the ducats spent to send and re-send my units on missions (I did all the missions available each day, about 6 different ones per day I think)
- Add the gains
- Final ducats in my pockets after one week: 2600!!!! (not gained, this is the new total!!!)

Basically, I always spend more than what I gain (and I always send Crane, PoB or Knight, or in general the unit with the highest possibility to win!). E.g., "Sacking a recalcitrant town", costs 70 ducats and theoretically you can get 210 (so a gain of 140 ducats), I usually sent my knight that has the best probability to win (65% theoretically), however I usually lost at least thrice (when I'm lucky) before winning (-210 ducats) and in the end I win... only about 140 ducats!!! Less than the reward written in the description (that was already a meager one...)

That becomes a complete waste of time and a bit enervating...

Have a nice evening,

i've totally the opposite effect. Remember certain units have a much higher success chance.
I don't bother doing "hard" quests, only the easy ones.

The quest rockstars (at least those i have):

-Sparkling -> 99% success chance on bag snatching / 90% on treasure hunt
- Sacking the recalcitrant town -> 85% skull warrior
- Burglary of the burgeois -> 85% gargoyleI
- gathering information : 65% necromancer (for some reason lion mage and all wolven have a terrible success rate, only the necro from my experience has a decent one).

Well, at least you're agreeing with me that the "hard" missions are completely useless! :)

The missions you're speaking about give a couple hundred of golds per day at max (considering that you also pay ducats to do them), so I'm still pretty sure that log-in just to do it is a waste of time (5 months to farm a legend in that way are a bit too much! In the closed beta, a month and half was usually sufficient... and that was still not so fast!). "Hard missions" should hurt more your unit, not simply cost more than the possible reward (+ probability to get hurt anyway!) or nobody will do them and they will be an useless feature!

I did not use the Ram as my main farming group but it seems I should give it a try, since its stats seems better than other armies (Super Spark not considered)

hard ones are useless unless you have a legendary unit...which i guess is what you need (untested though). Other than that i seem to have a nice income from quests, especially treasure hunt is a nice 1100 per day. Also playing regularly 400 AP and having no issues with in game money
