Royal Guard, of course.

There was no lion. It's in the game so Alahan can have a high-MOV, high-DAM, low-TOU option (i.e. the "assault" class). Doesn't bother me too much.

while Knight is mounted unit by its title... but propably calling him a Foot Knight (i dont remember english word for warrior that willingly dismounted his horse for battle) would be enough for some time.

My guess is the Lion Knight is sword-and-board because he's basically a reskin of the Swordsman. Less work.

Historically, the iconic knight is a mounted warrior, but plenty of them fought on foot for various reasons at various times and places. Troops who ride to the battlefield, and then dismount, are "mounted infantry" (although this was the way "cavalry" operated for much of history. It's hard to fight from horseback before the invention of the stirrup).

I don't know if they had any, but a "light cavalry" would have been better I feel.

(although this was the way "cavalry" operated for much of history. It's hard to fight from horseback before the invention of the stirrup).

But cavalry without stirrup is ancient - literally. And even then they was fighting from horseback - but simply at lower speed and with less strenght.

And Confrontation Knights are more Gothic-Medieval so stirrup its must have for them ;)

But its true that even best cavalry sometimes fought on foot - even XVII century Polish elite cavalry dismounted few times to take better defensive positions http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Hod%C3%B3w

I don't know if they had any, but a "light cavalry" would have been better I feel.

no light cavalry in Alachan

all Lions unit from C3

They didn't. Infantry of various stripes, a mounted magician, but no "light cav".

Griffins did, though, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a Thallion in that role when/if the Griffs are made.
