There is absolutely no such thing. It's just bad luck
(it can also be because you tend to notice them more than the others, because the units stand out more).
Truly, Toughness plays a very little role in the wounds system (the less you have, the "more" chances you have to get hurt), BUT :
- it is really a very minor role (we're speaking about +0,2 to +0,5% or something like that for the lowest TOU units in the game);
- it works both ways. High TOU units (such as most Elite units) actually have LESS chances to get hurt (still, on a very small scale like -0,5% to -1% chance to get wounded).
Because of that, and because Elite units tend to die less often in battle, they tend to get much less wounded than the others. It's even more obvious with Legendary units, because their TOU usually goes through the roof, and because they are very tough to kill.
So, it was a bad beat for you, sorry mate
On a more positive note, at the moment we are working on ways to better control the randomness of injury distribution (like, eliminate the cases where you get beaten, then get all your 10 units in a coma. Well that example would be as likely as winning a big lottery, and didn't happen as far as I know, but still, we don't want that to happen - ever).
Additionnal note : medium TOU units are unaffected on their wounds' rolls. It's just pure random at this point.
