A great problem with injuries / healing (since open Beta)?

PostWed Feb 05, 2014 12:56 am

It seems that with the last patch and the step from closed to open beta the chance of getting injuries is rised. I played now for only 5 hours and the result is the following:
Necromancer: -coma (not even longer playable till healing)
-crushed hand
skeleton bowmen:-crushed hand
skeleton warrior: -smashed upp back
skull warrior: -disfigured (it is a "harmless and even useful" injury but it had could be another one)

So my warband has FIVE Inyuries and it would cost 63 healing cards to heal them, these are 6300 Ducates !!!!
After these five hours of playing my warband has 702 Ducates ... seems to be a long way to save these money... and with these rate of injuries they won`t be playable. So what is the alternative way? if I spend real money for these healing it would cost round about 3,00€.... for 5 hours of playing..no special benefits like extra XP only to keep the warband playable. This in mind it would be more clever to delete the warband and start a new one but doing this every day isn`t satisfying.

Sorry guys but I hoped so much that Cyanide learned from theyr mistakes in the past but it seems they try to make a pay (a lot) to play, that is just a little bit better then pay to win but make your game a little bit too expansive for me.

So, if these high chance of injuries (or better the amount of healing cards to fix them) isn`t balanced I keep playing WOT. Try to find a injury rate and healing costs that allows you to keep a warband playable and gives you a few surplus ducates after playing. I never had the feeling that I was forced to pay money to play WOT and this is the reason why I enjoy it to give them a few € each month. It is not necessary, they keep it fair and really free to play and all money you spend is optional and don`t give you great advantages. Perhaps you guys should have a closer look of their philosophie and perhaps you learn how to become as successfully as they are.

i agree chances of injuries for low level players are too high compared to the closed beta. Wasn't the deathmatch game used to have the lowest % of injury? i can't imagine vip and conquest then...

also...healing cards even though they are cheaper they still cost a lot considering at low level it is much harder to get money...

ps: why the name healing card? wouldn't "bandage" make more sense?

Hi, we reached similar conclusions since the open beta started. We are currently working on injury rates to improve the balance between game rewards and healing costs, especially for new players. You can expect some improvements with next patches.

that is very good to hear...i've the feeling this is making lot of new players frustrated. Are we talking about months or weeks for a new patch?

At this rate, and from what we are gathering, it is not working as intended.

I can't promise anything, but I'd say it's more a matter of days.

additionaly lowering the max heal cost to 2-3k for non legendary units would be nice... and maybe max 3-5 for legendaries.

But once again - option to heal lev 1 sparkling/skeleton for 100 is realy great for swarm-players.

i think the issue is that getting ducats from matches is now much harder. I usually get around 100 while before it was around 250 or something...also training was giving much more, now only 10 :D

but reducing of wining ducats its rly nice now i know that i need to thing what i will buy for them cause y cant buy 2 expensive unit on 1 evening u need to spend 1 week to unlock 2 of them.

injuries holy ...... @!#$ yep they are too big i have thesame on my company only 1 person arent injury and i stop to trying heal them cause almost alvays after healing on next PvP game i have 2nd injury on someone who was healed ;(

i think that lvl up of units is to fast 1 day of open beta and all 4 members in company almost on full lvl too easy on close beta i need almost 2xtime more to do the same lvl on company members, mayby its more skill cause i dont play it 1st day but about week but i still think that its to fast

I'm pretty much in agreement with what's been said above. Played 20 games yesterday, got 3 injuries, seems more frequent than in closed beta. By the time I saved enough ducats for enough healing cards the unit already had another injury. For example, I have a hunter on -2 Toughness at the moment (crushed arm and smashed back TOU 6-2 = 4) from about 3 hours of play in total, at this rate he will be on TOU 0 before the end of the week lol; would take about 1800 ducats to heal him, but that would be another long grind for ducats, which I don't mind so much, but would mean more injuries so defeats the object.

That aside, I'm glad to see the game go to open beta, lot's of new players and not ages waiting in matchmaking. Hopefully will not be too long before injuries/healing are revised.
