Beta Tester Group

So i was looking at user groups on the website and i noticed that the Beta Tester user group is open to apply. Does it have some significance or is it a relic from closed beta? Or is it a status thing for until the end of beta? Thanks.

I just looked at the list in the group and the last one to apply was dated "Wed Jul 17, 2013". So I'm going with this was for the closed beta. Final answer.

I figure as much but then again i didn't know that member group even existed before today and i wouldn't be surprised if no one else did either. It's worth bringing up atleast if application to this group is no longer possible so they can close it.

Agree that it was probably forgotten. I'd never have seen it if you had not mentioned it.
