Changelog Beta Update 0.12.10

Gameplay
- Updated MatchMaking to force opponent finding if user waited for a long time. The matched opponent will be one with best matched ELO in same bracket
- KOTH now display the appropriate bracket score target
--- 250 AP - Required score: 400 (up from 300)
--- 400 AP - Required score: 600 (up from 500)
--- 800 AP - Required score: 1200 (up from 1000)
- Removed reduced maps with invisible borders
- Added borders to navigation area to prevent reduced maps issues
- Modified 2 maps + added 1 map
- Added 1 map for DM & VIP on Lanever
- Added 6 maps (less reduced) + Modified 1 asymetrical map (hexmaps)
- Modified most of KOTH maps (smaller control points & odd number of control points)
- Added 1 Acheron KOTH map + 1 Lanever KOTH map
- DM / VIP : Added 6 maps (less reduced) + Modified 1 asymetrical map (hexmaps)
- KOTH :
--- Modified KOTH maps (smaller control points + odd number of control points)
--- Removed old Acheron KOTH maps + added a new one (3 control points)
--- Added 1 new Lanever KOTH map
- Increased XP gains on Training mode

Combat
- Fixed LightRemission duration
- Changed stats for the level 1 Golem : -2 DAM, +1 ACC, -3 AP

Lobby
- Added new mail notification that can display possible rewards.
- Rewards are retrieved on Player account only once the popup is resolved
- Added more leveling rewards :
--- At least 1 healing card / level
--- 1 army color / level
--- Slightly increased ducats rewards / level
- Added friend sponsoring rewards: random loot for both recruiter and recruited when recruited friend reach lvl 5 and 10
- Tweaked sponsoring mail to redirect user on Steam Store to download game
- Fix Ladder "near me"
- Fixed some AP and Mastery display when leveling skill tree
- Fixed help on Play page
- Fixed fix currency choice not being correctly handled when buying a Unit Baptem
- Added big image format for Cyan and Ducat coins
- Fixed 1st win bonus display time

Misc
- Fixed some crash issues at launch, lobby, prematch, postmatch
- Standardized player level localizations to 'Renown rank'

I'm fine with that being the only balance change. Look at the top 10, it seems pretty balanced.

Edit: One question though. Why can Wolfen go into Defensive Stance and still attack?

this is normal and has been like this since i played. Defensive stance makes you lose one attack meaning that a wolven will simply have 1.

i guess the "Real" balance patch will hit the servers another time ;-)

becouse deffense is only -1 Attack not att = 0

Look at the top 10, it seems pretty balanced.

i'll check it latter - but current ranking is mostly about number of games played...

yesterday i meet player from top 3 after a week offline and won it without a problem.

Additionaly even perfect ranking will show only balance between best possible companies - not useless units ;P

but lets hope that new maps are interesting.

Thanks for the info on Defensive Stance - that makes sense.

I do agree that the top 10 highly favors those who play the most. But what are the other options? Win ratio? Win one game and you have 100%.

I play an online TCG that has a lot of people playing it, that does a good job with rank. It still favors playing a lot, but losing really makes you loose points (loosing twice in a row can negate the last five or six wins), so it's not all about playing the most games... but to get a good score, you need to play a lot of games.

Edit: Is the game back up yet?

The map changes sound interesting, can't wait to try them out! The increased level rewards sound great as well, but will they be retroactive? It'd certainly be nice if they were for those with already high level accounts...

When i play ranked Confrontation (3-3,5 edition) tournaments in my country - we have point system highly based about current rank of the player. For example when i managed to get into top 3 - each draw with me even for mid rank player was counted as his victory (in the rank only - not tournement, so i won or was 2'nd in some tournaments that lowered my place in the rank)... and if i ever lost Vs player below top10 i lost many points more than i could get for win even with equal player. So simply to keep first place player was forced to win almost any game - especialy with lower ranks - and only games that he could draw or lost was games with another top 10 - top 3 players ;)

I can't link exact tables because they was deleted few months ago - but going for top was hell hard and most certan option to stay in top 3 was playing as few matches as it was possible ;)
While for lower rank players (especialy below half of the rank) almost every match was optimistic ;)
