The Grave guardian is stronger overall,that's why he is tier 2 and cost more ap.


Thats not what the tiers are for. The tiers are ment to increase the players tactical options, not provide better units.

The tiers are base on the ap cost,from the lower to the higher.A unit with a high ap cost is most likely to be stronger.If you want him to be a tier 1 unit you have to decrease his ap cost (mean you have to change his stats/skills) or change the classification.

question - about Choosen of Light (3'th tier of sparkling) "Blaze" skill - description says about -1 penalty and blocking ranged skills - while current spell provides -5 penalty and blocks even close combat skills.

So whats wrong description or skill? I must idmeet that -1 seemed really weak as for only support spell... but -5 makes really great impression :P


and once again - change price of Chimera (becouse nerfing her will be wrong - Alahan ancient Queen cant be weak (and should carry sword imo if its not a mere avatal anymore... or make her Chimera projection rather than chimera and after that you can make her another lion glass cannon - but current one is to powerfull and resiliant.

Completely agree with you Dragon_Warrior about the chimera - either glasscannon her or make her at least 250AP.

I haven't played against a lion player that hasn't used the chimera since the change. This week the chimera is the free hero and the entire top of the leaderboard speaks for itself.

I agree the Glass Cannon route would actually work but to be honest she would be tedious to play against. The fact that she will kill a unit every other turn herself with out being at risk or a unit a turn with a little to no risk makes most toughness changes pointless.

On maps like Acheron she dominates the zone and there is almost nothing you can do about it.

Her range actually means she is safe from even our fastest Hero which is the Predator of Blood.

I'd really like to see this awesome Chimera everyone seems to think so much of because i haven't seen it yet. I'd be quite happy to cross staves with anyone interested, if only because i want to give my current build a real test. Last battle not one of my units died and the battle before that only 2 died. I think though that some players don't realise that Protection of Yllia only procs once.

You are playing her hard counter. That doesn't make for a great testing platform for balance.

You need to compare her to armies that don't use hard counters since that is what give people a much more clear idea of balance. My example would be to pick armies like those that new players have and see how they fare.

Im currently rank 4 with 13-2 w/l and i used the chimera once.Dont get me wrong she is the strongest hero but you dont need to play her to win as lion.

The main issue with lions is the sparkling.For 32 ap you have 2 units that can easily grab orbs and control the map.With only 2 units you have both map control and orbs.The chimera is mostly overpowered because she gives exactly what a lion comp lack to be strong in every way : insane damages.
Playing the chimera with 2 sparklings mean you have orbs control (unless you are really unlucky),map control and the kill pressure on the enemy hero.That's the only 3 ways to get elexirs and to win fast and clean.

Ram mostly have map control due to the skells war and good damages.Playing the orbs game is hard without gargoyl and that's a 59 ap unit at best.

Wolfmen have few units,so they cant afford to spread,but they have the kill pressure on the enemy hero.They need to take some enemy units down and then they can have both orbs and map control (after turn 2 at best)

I also have resonable W/L ratio with Acheron+Golem company but winning against weaker player is not exacly best comparasment of units ;P

Especialy when yesterday i won a game Vs Chimera player that didn't used spells at all ?!?!?

I've shifted to testing wolves this week. But

My Lion company is 5/1/2 this week and I' play Royal Guard exclusively. I also don't alter my company in any way. For both losses it is exactly as Vahire points out. It is just incredibly hard to compete with an army who can control the zones, grab the elixers and kill units that effectively. Even the Royal Guard takes 20 damage per spell.

In the games against the Chimera I won it was due to dice roll or new players not understanding what they have in the unit.

This week I switched out my second Lion for 2x Flash Sparkling and 1x Tier 1 sparkling. I've effectively gained 2 units without giving anything up. I retained the speed and gained a heal for my swordsmen/ Hero and gained an extra unit to contest with.

Sparklings are once again a problem and for their cost I would suggest in order of least preference

1. Speed 8 no running.

2. Speed 5 or 6.

3. Cap Sparklings at 1 per tier for 3 total.

4. Increase their cost.

Wolves are struggling with the whole numbers game and are force to play very aggressively which against a number of list really hurts them. I need to test them more to settle on what I would suggest here.

I will say they is man is the Worg awful when you compare him to so many of the other Heroes.
