Changelog Beta Update 0.12.08

The patch is being pushed right now. Here's the definitive changelog, note that we added a few things since the last post.

Enjoy !

General
- Updated starting companies
- Removed Ancient Battlefield
- Set Lanever DeathMatch as first map for new players
- Ladder will only take into account 400 AP Games,
- Weekly Cyans Rewards based on ladder position
- Reduced needed GuildRanks to play every maps (Ranks 3, 4, and 5)
- Added Lanever DM and VIP maps
- Lots of matchmaking formula adjustments
- Lowered matchmaking successive win/lose protections from 60s to 25s
- Reduced matchmaking search time to extend the GuildRank search from 30s to 15s
- Turns limit changed to 14 for DM, 10 for VIP
- Changed the number of points required to win in KOTH mode to 5
- Reduced Injuries ratio from 25% to 15%
- Protection against Coma added for new and intermediate players
- Removed injuries and XP rewards from Friend Challenge as it was intended

Combat
- Added some AP scaling on Traits/Ranks regarding the unit rank
- Added a new unit rank for some units: "Special"
- Updated basic AP for unit types
- AP balancing for few traits and skills
- Updated Crossbow and FangWarrior (replaced Bloodlust and Precision with Ferocious)
- Updated unit stats
- Increased miracles difficulty for Warrior-Priests
- Fixed Harassment (consume walk)
- Fixed invalid trait for Worg
- Fixed StunningStrike to not apply its malus if attack failed
- Fixed AssaultStrike ability to allow a pursuit movement without attack after a charge kill
- Updated DivineFavor, BadOmen and FavourableAuspices
- Updated descriptions for Bad Omen, Favourable Auspices, Mastery of the Arcana, Exalted
- Fixed attack estimations showing random big numbers

Lobby
- Fixed help on Play, Armory, Missions, Guild and Company page
- Updated injuries and LvlUp display in PostMatch
- Added server message highlights
- Fixed loading company name and picture during loading (heading-heading bug)
- Added email format check when recruiting a friend
- Added 2x click support on GuildManagement to activate company
- Fixed XP display in unit tooltips
- In Buy Units popup: removed talent display on information on the left, and aadded talents tooltips on the right
- Default focused field in Login set to password when login is filled
- Added password recovery interface
- Added Support and Forum weblinks
- Updated the "Lose/Lose" event: only 1 injury, added XP earnings on Ducats loss, no consequence for 3rd choice
- Fixed "Rank 0" in ladder

Misc
- Improved servers charge balancing
- Improved mail saturation issues
- Fixed game states where players could be stucked waiting for match result after login
- Removed badword checking for account creation
- Updated GER localization
- Localization fixes

half changes are nice... other half is out of nowhere.

Especialy Knight/Crane prices are totally insane now... and PoB Price + stat nerf makes this 3 Elite nerfs terrible... especialy while balance was realy close to good before and only few combo/skills were problematic and Golem was op...

and -1 ap for swordsman while -5 for fang? and -7 for crossbowman?

The ability costs have changed too, which balances out those price changes.

Wolf:
Fang -5AP, Bloodlust replaced by Ferocious
WwCB -6AP, -1MOV, -1DOD, Accuracy replaced by Ferocious
WLW -4AP, +1DAM, -1 TOU, +1 WIL
WH (UNCHANGED)
GotR +2 AP, -2DAM, -2TOU [OUCH, that's a heavy nerf, not sure it was necessary :? ]
GG +27AP
PoB +33AP, -2DOD, -1DAM, -2TOU, +1 WIL [I think it was too nerfed, especially -1DAM.
Worg -11AP, +1DAM,

RAM:
SkeWar: No stat change, but nerfed by LVL 2 ability costs.
SkeArch: -3AP, +1DAM, -1TOU [Weaker but hits harder for cheaper? Ok, I guess]
Necro: -12AP
Gargo: +1AP
PoS: +3AP
BP: +2AP, +1DAM
SW: +36AP, -1TOU [It was clearly too cheap, but the -1TOU may be overkill]
FGoA: +46AP, otherwise unchanged [I really hoped for mobility and rapidity to be on the same level so they couldn't both be taken]

LION:
Sword: -1AP, [but it's the cheapest at level 2 with minimum 31AP, and max 32AP]
Bow: Unchanged [And "Sharpshooter" still costs way too much]
MoA: -7AP
LoW: +1AP
VoA: +4AP, but a nerf on its Favorable Auspices
SoL: -3AP [OK, now this is broken. A horde of them with a magician can cast homing missiles you can't do anything about, and for much cheaper]
KotL: +55AP, -2DAM [-2DAM is overkill when combined with the cost icnrease]
LotC +37AP

We'll see after some test.
I like the dymanic cost of skill for elite unit. Was something i was about to propose to the devs. ;)

A weekly reset of the ranking is too much imo, way better a montly ones... but let's test it...

I would like less changes maybe as it's difficult balance when you change soo many things. As i could see the new OP list are going to use a lot of base unit are they're very cheap compared to the new elites... but we'll see.

Mh... I've played two games and I'm a bit torn with the priest of Salauel: It seems quite crap now, with the spell not making a 100% chance of fail. Maybe it should be applied the whole turn or something, but it costs 2 Faith for very minimal effect: It is only relevant in "peon VS peon" and "elite VS elite" of the same level, while requiring quite some planning ahead...

great Thx for exact changes - its helpful

and as i said - some are nice, some are missing... but some are so much werid and wrong ;P

EDIT
played some games and i don't like current meta...
Overhealing Lions, players afraid to move from starting positions, no elites... game is to static.

and rising cost of Golem (leveled) won't make it ok when there are even fewer units that can counter him... ok wolfens got feriocious but Lions don't have any and even for RAM/Wolfens taking feriocious when elites disappeared - is only golem counter.

I played 400 point lion company against Golem... i killed it in 14'th turn while since 3 it was only enemy unit...

Some good change but ... do you really want the game to become a lv1 swarm of units?
Someone playtest this patch? :roll:

There's some esplicit error in how unit are reworked. You nerf PoB AP cost and Stats just to made GG more powerfull...

I played something liek 5 games in this patch and I don't know why but I can't seem to find my pace. I usually had 1 good unit backed up by a bunch of weak units, and now this doesn't seem to work for some reason. Weird.

I feel there were way too many adjustments with this patch...

I feel the AP levels are beyond skewed now, and sadly you might as well have an army of lvl 1 toons in a 400ap battles versus high lvl toons.

I can barely squeeze 3 toons in a 400 ap battle...not that it matters much, because it takes 10+ minutes to get a match, which will make for a boring game real fast.

Only having one leader board is a big mistake. Make one for each AP...sitting waiting for a match all night is just booorring.
