Hello, I have found myself a 400 AP company for Acheron and Alahan that work quite well, but I just can't seem to create a 400 AP wolfen army that I'm succesfull with. So I was wondering if someone has a good 400 AP wolfen company and would like to share it?

From my own experience there does not seem to be a take all comers Wolf list. Wolves more than anyone seems to need tweaking based on map, opposition faction and game mode. There are viable lists in all of those situations but I'm not the best person to speak to since I'm still in the process of working on mine.

lvl 5 worg and your second unit doesn't matter. Gets you to top 10 no problem. Ask paperjack.

I'm currently trying to level my predator and grave guard and my build is :
- Lvl 3 Predator (Ruthless, Master strike)
- Lvl 2 Grave Guard (Scourge)
- Lvl 1 Hunter
- Lvl 2 Fang Warrior (Ruthless)

I won 3 matches out of 4 with this build by playing aggressively and thinking my deployment the best i could (in order to start the closest to the enemy). The first thing I do is send my Grave guard in Def stance in the middle of enemy lines to "take aggro", which seems to be effective in panicking the other player and forcing him to make bad decisions while I bring the rest of my killers.

Certainly not an optimal build, but I like the feeling of it and it makes short battles.

I've been exclusively using a build Deep Blue suggested to me and have been doing really well with it against more or less anything. It's a very flexible setup that can take on a number of enemies that are usually a real pain to take down when you go melee focused. It's a build you have to learn how to use though. How to make good use of the crossbowman with yllia's wrath and offensive stance. Who to best use hymn of destiny on, when it's best to use ring of ice and on who (who the opponent wants to take down with their archers).

2 level 2 guardian of the runes with hymn of destiny 72 ap x 2
1 level 3 wolfen lonewolf with ring of ice and regeneration 82 ap
1 level 3 wolfen crossbowman with instinctive firing and herassment 70 ap
2 level 1 wolfen fangs 52 ap x 2

= 400 ap

rule of thumb when building wolven armies, unless you are using a worg, do not go for a 4 men setup. Yes im sure you can win and even have a certain amount of success with it but it highly depends on who and what you are facing.

why 4 wolven bands are bad in my opinion:

- you can get focused by spells
- Lion archers can hit you regardless and focus you
- easier for RAM zerg / puppets to slow you down (less damage output)
- You will get surrounded even more (and this is really an issue)
- Less chocke points to worry about for your opponent
- Predictable strategy (you can't split your forces too much)

Astralwyrm already suggested my army so i'm not going to re-post it. Another one i had a good share of success is the following:

1x PoB ---> switch GG lvl 3 scourge living dead + taunt vs ram
2x lonewolf ring of ice/mist + regen
2x fang with ruthless

i run without mortification because it is too easy to fail the cast with regen. It is much more reliable to shield your PoB/GG and also you have more spare mana for the primal attack.
