rule of thumb when building wolven armies, unless you are using a worg, do not go for a 4 men setup. Yes im sure you can win and even have a certain amount of success with it but it highly depends on who and what you are facing.
why 4 wolven bands are bad in my opinion:
- you can get focused by spells
- Lion archers can hit you regardless and focus you
- easier for RAM zerg / puppets to slow you down (less damage output)
- You will get surrounded even more (and this is really an issue)
- Less chocke points to worry about for your opponent
- Predictable strategy (you can't split your forces too much)
Astralwyrm already suggested my army so i'm not going to re-post it. Another one i had a good share of success is the following:
1x PoB ---> switch GG lvl 3 scourge living dead + taunt vs ram
2x lonewolf ring of ice/mist + regen
2x fang with ruthless
i run without mortification because it is too easy to fail the cast with regen. It is much more reliable to shield your PoB/GG and also you have more spare mana for the primal attack.
