Fun with battle <= 200 pa

Hello,

I've been fooling around with this game and doing 2 / 3 battles.

At first I was delighted by the system which I thought was really good but then now I'm not so sure about it.

I've had troubles with battles < 200 pa. I have currently 4 units in my pool (Wolfen), 1 crossbowman, 1 sorcerer, 1 fighter and 1 hunter.

Usually, when I hit the "play" button, everytime I play I face armies composed of ... 2 units, or merely 4 units. Among those units, there always is this unit costing ~100 pa (92 , 94 ...) and it's always the same versus undead - lion - wolfen.

This unit is incredibly hard to kill (never managed to killed it so far) and do tremendous amount of damage.

I sincerely think that it's not fun to play versus such composition. My units cost from 40 to 80 pa and I manage at most to get armies of 170/200. With such a high price unit, usually oponent gets among 190 / 200 pa so he always get's an advantage in term of prices.

Then in battle, I believe 100 pa unit for a 200 fight is OP. It's capable of parrying most of my attacks and kill my minions by attacking with the right stance. It is just too strong.
Besides, in term of battles, it doesn't get really interresting when you get to face only 2 units.

I think the game needs to be balanced / reworked a bit when it is the case of a <= 200 encounter.

For me now it's not really fun :(

you can't expect low AP units to win vs high AP units simple as that. This is however not true if you surround these high AP units with your low ones. As a tip, sometimes it is better not to attack these units and just get the encirclment bonus if you have a lowish % of success. Hold them in chocke points and the battle is yours.

I tried surrounding which I usually achieve, the main problem is that the unit is too tanky (too many chances of parrying, even in 3 vs 1). I've try decoying tactics with superior movement and ranged attacks, but doesn't work as well :(.

Maybe the problem is that my units cost too much points and thus I'm not able to get as many units as I should to play the surrounding side.

Generally, if the enemy has a great big thing, you should encircle it with weaker unit (NOT attack it) then charge with your heavy hitter/your heaviest hitter or simply get close to the enemy and use defensive stance.

Generally, since oyuy have numerical superiority, you can also know his plan befor he acts. Activate your less important units firsts, or use them to split him. Since he only plays with 2 units, you can see what he's going to do before he does see what you want to do, simply by moving warriors/skeletons and shooting with ranged units.
