Are there any plans for unit customization/respecs?

For example, I have a level 4 knight of the lion, but I feel like I only need his level 3 for a given comp. I want to be able to disable his level 4 to benefit from the lower AP cost.

Similarly, if I had a level 5 mage but I didn't need his third spell or the level 5 benefit, I want to be able to tone him down to level 3, and so on.

On the same note, I think you should be able to change a merc's skill tree choices. If there's a level 5 ability that is considered best, for example, then it becomes too much of a hassle to risk experimenting on that choice yourself. You take a point in one ability and you have to buy a completely new merc in order to get a different build.

A lot of this, I feel, is needlessly restricting. It's actually made me want to get up and do something else for a while when I run into a situation where I want to run a certain comp but can't due to AP restrictions, or I notice something about a high-level unit of mine that I want to change.

I agree with the OP. I would like to see a system that was easier to work with when getting an outfit together. Even an ability to unlevel your troops would be an improvement.

i agree that it would be VERY useful indeed and save much frustration, if some manner of retraining or re-talenting would be possible. Something as simply as picking the wrong talent by accident can cost you thousands of ducats. it would seem more reasonable to be able to pay a sum for a targetted respec of some manner.

I have also given those suggestions before. To be able to use our units on a lower level than their current max and to be able to reset them for a price. Both things would be great.

what has been said by the devs in the past: they are thinking about something that allows a respec (at the cost of ducats/cyans of course). Probably 5k ducats is the right price. Yes , it must be expensive so that it is used only on those -few- level 5 units that you have....for all the rest, buy them in cyans :P

Well, paying 5000 ducats because you chose the wrong talent for your level 2 swordsman seems a bit excessive.

probably more reasonable to have the price scale with unit / AP cost
