Dogs of War Online

I've kinda settled on this as a 300 AP comp, planning to use it to pass my time when I'm not levelling other units or something.

Knight of the Lion: Level 5.
Base - 89 AP
Level 2 - Master Fencer - 5 AP
Level 3 - Knock out Strike - 5 AP
Level 4 - Righteous - 4 AP
Level 5 - Counter attack - 9 AP
Total: 112

Magician of Alahan: Level 5.
Base - 72
Level 2 - Scourge of the Impure - 2 AP
Level 3 - 10 AP + Mastery of the Arcana - 13 AP
Level 4 - Chastisement of Light - 17 AP
Level 5 - 10 AP + Focus - 18 AP
Total: 122

Sparkling of light: Level 3. (x2)
Base - 20
Level 2 - Parry - 3 AP
Level 3 - Healing - 10 AP
Total: 33 (x2 = 66)

Army Total: 300 AP.

Basically, what should I generally expect in a 300 AP comp, and is this something that I might be doing properly? Are there any little improvements among the skill trees that I might make?

while it is nice to have a 300 AP to maximize your power i think lvl 5 mage does not belong in the 300 AP bracket. My fear is that i can simply rush your mage as you just have one (poweful) knight.

comps that will wreck you (imo):

-anything with ferocious...even 2 archers (72 AP value) can potentially wreck your knight. Morbid puppets can also wreck your mage by themselves. In my Ram band i usually end up with 8 units (2 are morbid puppets) and i see it for you very hard to control them all with only the knight. Yes probably the mage will kill 1 or 2 by itself but it will go down.

-wolven can do the same more or less and you might even be at numerical disadvantage. One fang warrior can quickly kill your mage in 1 turn with mightly blow and bloodlust.

-other lions with favorable auspices (valk+archer, which is pretty much in any lion comp right now) can take your sparkling down fast, followed by the mage. All from a safe distance.

my idea is:

better to use a lvl 3 mage with recovery and seal of dellar'n if you plan to use lot of sparklings (combo'ed with the seal they are so nasty it is basically your favorable auspices) or other cheap units at 300 AP.
No point to use such a high level knight also, again level 3 might be the best in terms of AP.

IMO for terrorist sparklings - Mage lev 2 is enough

IConquer - remember that Mastery of Arcana don't afect spell damage - so recovery is motly better unles you are afraid of casting spells from combat with wounded mage.

level 3 allows for three exploding sparklings on turn 2.

I made tips ( video ) for lion army 200 Ap and about archer Lion. I will do a strategy comp for 300 AP and 400 AP soon, and tips for valkyrie and sparkling.

Like they said, you just need your knight lvl 3 for taunt ( don't waste 14+ AP ), and if you are using a knight, most of the time you will need a valkyrie to heal him ( Valkyrie + archer combo is also good, you can check my first video, I play Knight + valkyrie + archer )

If you want to use a mage + sparkle, go for lvl 3 mage, it's better. Valkyrie or defensive unit is also recommended. With you sparkle you can take heal ( 31 Ap for 10 hp each turn ), or just take a valkyrie. I'm not using this comp usually, but it works .
