Desperately Need More Math Transparency

This is the kind of game where percentages and vague graphical indicators aren't really enough. If we only get 30 or so seconds to make our move we need some more information at hand.

Stuff I've noticed you aren't informed of:

Damage bonuses and penalties. Hard-boiled, accuracy, and the like aren't reflected on the health bar damage preview. Really the preview is useless, it's too small to make any kind of acceptably accurate judgment about how much damage you're going to do. I've lost games because the bar can't distinguish between an attack that leaves the enemy dead and one that leaves him with 1hp.

Any kind of future percentages. I can't know what the odds are of disengaging until I move my mouse, if I move an archer I pretty much have to just pray I don't tank his hit chance, none of that is displayed. No information on how any of this is calculated is displayed, as far as I can tell.

There's probably more I can't think of. Quests don't show you how success chances are derived, for one.

This isn't the kind of game where I can just wing it and hope for the best. I need to know what's going to happen before I do something, especially if I only get 30 seconds to make a move before I lose a turn and one of my units. I'd never play tabletop fast and loose like that, I don't want to play online like that either.

Surely I'm not the only one getting burned by the lack of transparency in the game's math.

Chance to hit (% - Melee) is 80+(ACCx5)-(PARRx5)
Chance to hit (% - Ranged) is 80+(ACCx5)-(DODx5)
Damage is DAM-TOU
Spell cast is not explained, but I beleive it's same as melee: 80+(WILx5)-(Difficultyx5)

Attack of opportunities work like ranged attacks for ranged units and melee attacks for Melee units.

Almost everything is explained by mouse hovering over each stat...

"Health bar" prevision doesn't include hard boiled or Mortal Insolence (invulnerability)

Well, let's be concise here and list all things that aren't indicated:

- Precise spellcasting math.
- Some effects can only be known in battle (like humans get +2 or 3 damage if they resisted Fear)
- a unit under "Favourable auspices" doesn't show 100% chance to hit.
- A unit under "bad omen" doesn't show 0% chance to hit (Which is good if you have two attacks)
- A unit under "Mortal Insolence" doesn't show it's immune to attacks
- "Survival Instinct" chance to ignore damage doesn't show
- "Hard Boiled" damage reduction doesn't show on health bars
- Special attacks (Mighty blow, assault strike, etc..) that cause negative modifiers to Accuracy don't show chance to hit when clicking.
- Archer ranges need explanations.

I would like to have a definitive clarification about attack of opportunity when a unit disengage.
It's and ATT vs DOD roll? On what base? Still 80% of success?

It's still not clear to me after the open beta.

From personal observations, it seems to be DOD vs ranged and PAR vs melee.

about the preview of damage and other %: don't consider it. As far as the devs told us it is not a reliable instrument when there are some "real time" modifications like accuracy damage.
