Knight of the Lion skill tree

I am playing a Lion army and fighting players from Ram and Wolf armies, as well as looking at the skill tree for Predator of Blood and Crane Warrior, and I wondering if the Knight of the Lion skill tree isn't to weak at level 4 and 5...

Valkyries get counter-attack at level 2 and that's what Knight get at level 5? I know it's very good "IF" you manage to parry, but then it lowers your parry by 2! I dont think knights should get it as a level 5 ability unless it didn't lower their parry, at least looking at other elites' skill tree the knight seems really poor.

The level 4 options look too bad as well... Crane Warriors can have +3 damage againt all living units, it's MUCH better than +3 damage against undead only... Why not give the knights +3 damage against undead, constructs and elementals, since those are the ones not affected by the Crane Warrior skill? Isn't that a more balanced "mirror ability"?

I know there are many players more experienced than me, so I would like to read your opinions about this... Thanks.

BTW the game is really nice!

But Knight alone its now much cheaper than patch ago ;)

To be honest compare Knight and Valkyrie Parry and it should be obvious ;P Especialy when now Chimera Guardian Angel spell works on knight (that makes his PAR even higher - but it have so high ap cost ;))

But the question is why knight have no alternative skill on T5?

The problem is that even currently Scourge works Vs two fractions while Knight skill would work only Vs one faction from all nine (Mid-Nors wasn't living as i remember)

BTW the game is really nice!

Current Crane/Knight is quite new to everyone but now both of them are much usefull than before.
The problem is that for now Crane warrior is simply much more useful with his lower cost and much higher STR. And both of them are still less usefull than Grave Guardian with +2 Mov and +1Atack... But Crane is quite close to Grave Guardian now as a realy good Elite/Legendary counter with his max STR.

Back to Knight i would definetly add him Righteous at T1 (it was always immune to fear and now his Will is realy low - While his PAR is his main deffense its realy annoying to see him scared.)
at T4 there should be Hyperian instead of Righteous to choose from.
But as for many other units - some skills looks

What makes the knight very good compared to the raw power of crane/pob is that it offers more crowd control with Knock-down. Paired with fencer it almost always guarantees an immobilize effect. Add the fact that you usually start first and you get a nice ability. You can use it as a way to shut down archers or protect your units when that nasty predator of blood is coming a bit too close to your mage.

Also the AP should be lower than crane and PoB once you put some talents which balances the fact that the other two are more powerful.

you prefer Fencer over Parry?
i knew that parry don't work with counterstrike - but PAR 18 can be first PAR in game that really matters ;)

i knew that parry don't work with counterstrike - but PAR 18 can be first PAR in game that really matters ;)


fencer allows to reroll the miss and knock-down gives you -4 ACC...so i think it makes a nice combo...plus the parry works against the whole plan of immobilizing fast :P

but this all makes slowing the PoB or even GG/Crane quite deadly to our Knight ;)
