AP balancing for PvP games

Just got into a match, I was 5 AP over the 300 limit.
Instead of letting play at a 5 point advantage, I had to remove a 62 AP unit.
Changing the game to give my opponent (theoretically) a 62 point advantage!?

Maybe there needs to be some gray area when it comes to AP matching.

If one player has to play at a disadvantage, it should go to the lower difference.

I know that will take a lot of work on the back-end to get that to work properly, but it's a suggestion. :mrgreen:

Maybe the AP cap should loosen up if you are unable to find matches quickly... as to allow for games to stay competitive.

in a way this is good: you just need to balance your army and spend your AP wisely ;-)

I can see how long term it could all work out, but without more options early game, seems like it will turn a lot of players off.

time will tell. They just put the new patch yesterday :-) if you played the game before the situation was worse as players could abuse the system by queueing their amazing 100 AP army (yes it was possible) made of 2 units. Now it is still possible to abuse it in the 200 AP bracket but only by spending 3+ min in queue the matchmaking constraints are changed.

I think a big warning sign is much better than a tiny red line on top of the screen that gets unnoticed so that i can requeue if i really want to play only my 400 AP army.
