I have been disconnected from matches several times by server issues, Internet connection problems, laptop battery goes out, cable issues, etc..
I wish there was a 3-minute or so grace period where your opponent can wait for you to re-connect so you can continue the match.
It is unfair to be tagged as a leaver if you did not do it on purpose, specially if it is out of your control(server issues, ISP problems).
Otherwise, failure to re-establish connection within the re-connection grace period may be considered abandonment of the game I think would be fair.
