strength of virtue question

Hello forum, I've been leveling my chimera (now lvl 3) to lvl 4 to test strength of virtue however after 2 weeks of grinding small amounts of exp from loss after loss (due to poor viable builds w/ chimera) I've given up and asking for help. Can anyone please tell me if strength of virtue can be casted on chimera itself.

2 patch ago it worked and Chimera was only reasonable target for this spell.
Now i dont have her but i assume that it still works that way.
