HELP! (URGENT)

Hello there,
Im new to the game and to this community, I expect this game to be super-cool for my taste.
MY laptop has went for repairs and is still not back, but i have installed the game in my pc, but there is a problem when running it.
when i open the game(from the steam), all i see is white screen but i hear sounds. please assist me in this issue.

I'm no expert, but make sure your vid driver is up to date. You might try messing with your resulution settings or see if you can figure out how to run it in window mode to see if it makes a dif. You might even try re-dloading it as a last resort, but it sounds like something to do with your comps vid.
