Shop unit prices

PostThu Jan 23, 2014 4:04 pm

again i would like to gather some opinions about how do you feel about the current unit prices in terms of ducats (not AP).

My opinion is that level ones are currently TOO expensive (i guess they increased at least by 100% if not more than the previous patch). I'm referring mostly to non-basic units (minus the sparkling) here. I understand the reasons why you are increasing the prices BUT in my opinion level 1 units should be available to everybody with a minimum amount of ducats so that you can easily choose the route of "i'm going to level them the hard way" (which is even harder now btw). Removing these kind of barriers would make the game more accessible to different strategies and remove the effect of "i've to grind to get the chance to play with this unit" (leveling it is already a "punishment" :P ). I am ok with lvl 2+ costing much more but not with the level one, which usually everybody wants to levels. My suggestion would be to decrease the current lvl 1 prices (only) by roughly 50% so that the crane for example would costs 3k-3,5k-4k

what is your opinion on the matter? consider of course that cyanide (rightfully) needs to make a profit out of it ;-)

Two things that I'm100% sure:

- Player should be able to get any one unit, artifact or spell for ducats
- Player should be able to keep one company at full health or two of them without major wounds (ACC/DAM/PAR/TOU on fighters and WILL on mages) and still make any "progress".

Both while being no more than average player that wins only 1/3 of his total PvP games.

So all depends not only on prices but also on incomes (missions, quests, challenges)

Previously it was acceptable - now its rather hard to make any progress (buying elites/legendaries) while keeping companies healthy. Especialy when someone is new to the game and simply don't knew what to choose.

About elite or legendary units - imo the bigger problem is about choosing their skill tree while being new to the game and while bad decision costs 30k for each legendary unit ;)
So maybe a dditional option to resetr skills for a price? or (imo more intersting) a option to hire (high level) mercenary unit for much smaller price but for limited time for test purposes.

Both options are still considered.

Anyway, thanks for all the feedback.
We understand your concerns - we are in the middle of many changes (on a larger scope) including how missions and wounds (and more) work. So, you might not see it now, but in the long term we do think that you will agree with us on the changes we are making right now.

More on that very soon :)

i would suggest an inventar for bought units.
Which means if you gonna restart your deck, that you keep the units that u bought with own ducats or realcash.
It should be also possible to sell them to 50% back ducat loss.
So that would allow to delete a deck without lose of tons of units inside of that deck..
But ofc its not without penalties...
Penalty in this case would be, that the bought units that return in your inventory lose their xp and start from new (lvl1..)

This would make many things easier.. without tweaking much on the shop/levelprices.. which will be hard.. (you have to consider the ducat income which is kinda low atm)
