Life after Stress test?

PostMon Oct 21, 2013 9:29 am

Aaaarg, I just heard about this game through the stress test. Played a bit, and quickly fell in LOVE!

What a great game! I always was thinking how cool a game like this would be andd finally someone made it. Being a miniature gamer, and a fan of Confrontation(can't wait for alchemists of Dirz), this game is right up my alley. It combines the feel of Rakham's Confrontation and campaign elements of Mordheim.

Though is there any way to get in on the closed beta? How cruel Cyanide must be to open up a game like this and not be able to even pay in order to get early access!

If not that, is there a date when it will get into open beta?

We are glad you like the game, especially if you feel it captures the feel of the original board game !

I'm afraid we don't distribute Beta keys anymore for the moment, but it could come back or new distributions could take place trough gaming websites. In both case, we will keep you updated on the Facebook page.

@ Horus -
I FEEL THE SAME WAY!

While I'm not much of a mini's gamer, I love hex-grid strategy and number-crunch games that have a strong ambiance to pull you onto the field; DoW hit the nail on the head, and I am feeling a little frustrated that I only got to play two dozen games or so (I found out about the stress test waaaay too late) before it shut down.

Very interested in hopping on this war-machine when it's in open beta/full release, alas as a student I can't afford to buy into much these days :/

@ Admin -
The coolest tid-bit I found in my few hours of play time? The scroll that allows you to name a specific merc for in-game money; talk about creating investment in the characters!

The most tedious part? Not being able to fire guys who stopped pulling their weight.

You can actually fire your units, I'll try to make a screen later on but it's possible ;)

We are glad you liked the game, and the stress has been extended to 9pm EU, so you can try to play some extra games if you wish.

The game should get into open beta or release in late fall, the wait shouldn't be too long ;)
